Welcome...Hello? Hellooo!!!???

Howdy Ho...welcome to my blog...Already erased first sentence, trying to come across as clever...trust me, it won't happen!  My name is Scott.  Music and Movie Enthusiast.  Husband of Wife. Father of Children. Possessor of Mortgage.  From time to time, I'll be posting musings on above topics; purely for me ( see: blog title ), and fellow geeks alike.  Geek is probably not fair; functional in society, liked by some, loved by some, undoubtedly disliked by several.  Oh well. Let's dive in shall we?

Today's Topic:
Rock N' Roll High School

As I write, I am watching the Roger Corman Cult Classics Re-issue of this ..well Cult Classic.  How could it be anything but?  Low budget, brimming with enthusiasm, featuring the likes of Indie Flagpoles Mary Woronov and Paul Bartel, and the Ultimate Cult Band, the Ramones!  Surprisingly, age nor perspective has dimmed my opinion of this movie. You honestly will not find a better humoured, energetic rock n' roll movie around.  I first saw this movie when I was 11.  Lot of firsts; first exposure to the Ramones, first exposure to P.J. Soles, first exposure to New World Pictures, and their stable of Low Budget wonders.  Why should you love this movie?
1)  You have an appreciation for '70's culture, counter or otherwise.
2)  You love P.J. Soles ( if you don't, you really should )
3)  You love the Ramones ( see above. )

If you haven't seen it, watch it now...if you haven't seen it in a while, watch it again...great B movies never get old...but how many times can you really watch Avatar?  Seriously.  Gabba Gabba Hey!
